Shipping & Receiving Guide
Last updated: May 30, 2026
COSMA is designed mainly for transactions that can be received in Japan. If you are traveling, confirm the receiving method before purchasing.
Japan domestic delivery is the default
The standard COSMA flow assumes delivery from a seller to a buyer within Japan, or pickup at a receiving location in Japan. Shipping method, shipping date, and tracking availability depend on the seller and item.
International shipping
International shipping is available only if the seller explicitly agrees and the transaction can be handled safely. COSMA is not currently designed as a full international shipping service. Customs, import restrictions, loss, delays, and additional costs may fall outside the normal transaction flow.
Hotel receiving
Ask the hotel before using the hotel address. Do not assume that all hotels accept parcels for guests.
- The parcel name may need to match your booking name.
- Some hotels do not store parcels before check-in or after checkout.
- If the hotel refuses the parcel or the storage period expires, the resulting loss is not covered.
Post Office Hold
Post Office Hold lets you receive a parcel at a post office in Japan. Availability and storage periods depend on the shipping method and post office.
- You must bring identification when picking up the item.
- You must visit the selected post office during business hours.
- The parcel may be returned if you do not pick it up within the storage period.
Avoid buying immediately before an event
Avoid buying immediately before an event, hotel checkout, or departure from Japan. Even if the seller ships quickly, carrier delays or receiving-location issues can prevent arrival in time.
If you cannot receive the item
Incorrect address entry, hotel refusal, expired post office storage, leaving Japan, or not receiving the item before an event are generally buyer-side risks. COSMA and the seller are not responsible for travel costs, hotel costs, event fees, or other indirect losses.
Shipping delays
Shipping delays can happen because of weather, carrier operations, holidays, address issues, hotel handling, or post office handling. COSMA does not guarantee arrival by a specific event date.
Address format
Address format should be clear enough for Japanese carriers, hotels, or post offices to identify the recipient.
- Use a recipient name that matches your ID or hotel booking.
- For hotel delivery, include the hotel name, booking name, and stay dates if needed.
- For Post Office Hold, enter the correct post office name, postal code, and address.
